State Cup 2009 Registration GuidelinesThe 2009 Massachusetts State Cup tournament is almost underway, with the Round Robin phase of the tournament scheduled to begin on May 30! The majority of teams have already submitted rosters. These guidelines are provided in hopes of making the registration process as easy as possible for everyone involved. Teams seeded directly into the Round Robin (U13-17 and U19): Mass Youth Soccer must receive the National Championship Roster (State Cup Roster) no later than May 26. This is the date on which all State Cup Rosters freeze for teams seeded directly into the Round Robin. You must submit your roster via email to Kate Murphy at kmurphy@mayouthsoccer.org. U18 teams seeded directly into the Round Robin (no challenge games required): Must submit their National Championship Roster to Kate Murphy prior to their first Round Robin match or May 26, whichever occurs first*. Teams playing Challenge Rounds (U13-U18): Cup Team Rosters were frozen on the day the team played its first State Cup match. *Note: If a team played in the Region 1 Premier League, their team roster froze the date the team played its first match in the Premier League, or first State Cup match, whichever occurred first. Round Robin (All U13-U17 and U19)The team administrator/coach must check-in at least one hour prior to your first game of the Round Robin. Players do not sign the roster until the finals. Only the team administrator/coach must come to the registration area prior to the team’s first game of the Round Robin. The following must be presented:
Round Robin (U18 Teams)A U18 team administrator/coach must check-in at least one hour prior to your first game of the Round Robin- played at Citizens Fields. **Players do not sign in until the finals. The following must be presented:
Semi Finals - June 13Teams with roster and/or pass card corrections identified at the Round Robin must have their team administrator/coach come to the registration area prior to their semifinal match so that the corrected roster and/or pass cards may be checked. All teams must bring the following to the match:
Finals - June 14The team administrator, coaches and all players must come to the registration area a minimum of 60 minutes prior to the start of their match. Players should line up in alphabetical order with pass cards in hand. They do not have to be dressed for play, but should have their game jersey with them. The following must be presented:
The team administrator/coach will sign a BLUE copy of the U.S. Youth Soccer National Championship Series Roster. Players must sign the roster the same way that their pass card is signed (middle initial, Jr., etc.). Signatures must be cursive, not printed. *TEAM OFFICIAL PASS CARDS: All team officials (maximum of four) must have a valid 2008/09 pass card and must be listed on the roster in order to be on the sideline with the team during a State Cup final. Driver’s licenses are not acceptable. Coaches not listed on this roster will not receive a Team Bench Pass at Regionals. |
